    Micah had gone mute for two days. He missed talking and getting to know his fellow demigods, but the stress had gotten to him. Getting up, the son of the still unknown god helped Octavia kindle the fire. The sparks were small, but him just nearing the flames seemed to strengthen them.
    His cheeks reddened at the mention of relationships.

    Like every reincarnated demigod, Micah has a mutation. He has a nasty scar running up from his hip to his armpit that he was born with.

    [glow=white,2,300][color=white][b]PERSONALITY ;;[/glow]
    Micah is a simple soul. He's quiet and resourceful, and if you catch him on a good day, he'll even talk to you. Yet, this demigod suffers from a disorder maybe only seen in the movies by most, so to say that he doesn't get a lot of compassion is an understatement. Micah has social anxiety. He likes to converse and socialize with people, but there are times - and for him he can never tell - when he just can't say anything. He may want to, he may be prodded or pressured to, but he can't. It makes a decent outcast trait, but Micah was also cursed with the longing to be an extrovert. He's tired of being an introvert and feeling weary of being with others other than himself, yet many days he socially can't or socially won't.

    This son of Apollo is smart and witty. He may be quiet, but it's the quiet people that can surprise you the most. Whatever he says usually gets people's attention since he is naturally not very talkative, and with his social anxiety, it makes it perfect to be heard when he can speak. His voice and tone draw you in, not to mention the fact that the weirdo is talking in itself.

    Micah has the alluring demeanour about him like his father does. He seems interesting from afar, and his personality keeps you guessing. Sometimes he expresses himself quite plainly, other times he can't say something even when he wants to.

    But it cannot be said that he has no confidence. Micah's mother didn't press him so hard to social when she realized this trait about her son. Even when others find him odd or ridiculous and continually mock him, Micah doesn't get deflated. It's a weird confidence, one that doesn't seem to fit with social anxiety, but it's the one thing that really helped the demigod make so many leaps and bounds in his life. He gets anxious while at the same time he never second guesses himself.

    [glow=white,2,300][color=white][b]STRENGTHS ;;[/glow]
    Micah is confident and resourceful. He's a quick thinker even under pressure and is a fast learner.
    Because of his ability to develop skills quickly, his demigod heritage and the powers that come with it aren't so strenuous as one might think for a socially anxious person.
    Micah knows how much he can handle usually without being pushed over the edge of his selective mutism.

    [glow=white,2,300][color=white][b]WEAKNESSES ;;[/glow]
    Micah's social anxiety is nothing but a weakness. There's no pluses or up sides when dealing with an inability to talk and speak your mind in some situations.
    This demigod can also be a bit naïve. He'd like to believe in only the good in everybody, and it constantly got him in trouble in his childhood.

    [glow=white,2,300][color=white][b]HISTORY;;[/glow]
    Micah has a disorder called selective mutism, which just adds to the weirdo he already was at school. He never even got a chance at a normal childhood. His mother, being a doctor, analyzed him herself after Micah went five years without uttering a word. Yet, her range of expertise was not that, and she brought him to countless specialist to get a diagnostic. Some suggested autism, but Emily Lawrence had already decided her son was too alert and mature for that. He just wouldn't talk. Others said their was nothing wrong, but yet again Micah's mother was not satisfied. There had to be something wrong for a five year old to remain mute. He wasn't deaf, he acknowledged when someone was speaking to him, yet he wouldn't respond.

    Finally, a doctor gave a diagnostic that would help Emily sleep at night. At the age of six, Micah was given the title 'Selective Mute' and was cast off into the world to try to overcome it.

    [glow=white,2,300][color=white][b]ENEMIES;;[/glow]
    Micah doesn't usually ignite arguments, and people don't usually argue with a person that won't argue back. The only enemies he has are those against demigods: the Titans, monsters, and sometimes even the gods who had let his first body perish.

    [glow=white,2,300][color=white][b]OTHER KIN;;[/glow]
    He has a sister named Elizabeth and a brother named Thomas, neither of which became reincarnated versions of another demigod.

    [glow=white,2,300][color=white][b]SEXUALITY;;[/glow]
    Heterosexual

    [glow=white,2,300][color=white][b]TURN ONS;;[/glow]
    Micah likes when someone understands his silence and appreciates when the person doesn't make it awkward for him when his anxiety spikes. The demigod also likes a person with a head on their shoulders and who is confident.

    [glow=white,2,300][color=white][b]TURN OFFS;;[/glow]
    The eighteen year old doesn't like being around someone with low self-esteem. It's just too much of a pity party it seems, and Micah tries to steer away from those who are out to dampen his mood. Life's hard enough for him without the people surrounding the demigod putting extra weight on his shoulders. He feels bad for them and tries to help, but it's a major turn off.

    [size=6pt] trek

    Micah heard someone bend down beside him, seeing a hand stirring at the coals in the fire alongside his. He half froze, but inwardly persuaded himself to speak.

    Speak, damn you.

    "N-nothing much," he stuttered out, surprised his muteness dissipated. Now to overcome the obnoxious stutter that took hold of his voice whenever he was leaving a spell of social anxiety. He glanced at the girl, recognizing her as Becca. Her presence was very calming. "Hey, Becca," he greeted with a smile, satisfied.

    Micah tilted his head slightly. He recognized the tone. It was the 'oh god, he's talking, keep him talking' voice. Others were always so taken aback whenever he spoke. It almost made Micah feel important and heard.

    "Nothing," he said simply. The silent demigod paused for a minute, noticing the second of panic in other's eyes as they wondered whether he went mute again. He had just come off of a hiatus and a hiatus before that, so it was understandable. He found himself worrying over the same thing whenever he abruptly stopped speaking. "You're quite popular around camp already." The teen had observed this about Becca, and at a loss for other things to say, he stated that.

    "Well, whatever you do works," Micah laughed lightly, cheeks reddening as he glanced around. He prayed to his godly parent -- whom he only had suspicions about who they were -- that no one heard him. The demigod liked to voice himself; it made him feel in control of himself and freer than he actually was, but he always got thrown into embarrassment when laughing.

    "You're the daughter of ... Aphrodite, right?" he asked, cheeks still warm. Micah constantly felt hot or at least room temperature, so he tried not to overthink it now. The teen promised himself he'd keep talking.

    Micah smiled, but looked down awkwardly. He didn't know how to talk to people with his lack of experience, and sitting next to a known daughter of Aphrodite didn't make it easier.

    Yet, the demigod was oddly calm. It wasn't until her presence neared him that he felt relief from his anxiety, and it had yet to leave him.

    "You make it less obvious than most," Micah determined. "You make the cliches seem like ridiculous tho-" And just like that, his courage was gone. Not even an allusive magic could keep a hold on the male's social anxiety for long.
